Cello Tuition for Adults and Children

Beginner to advanced level cello lessons

Cello lessons cost just £17 for 30 minutes, £25.50 for 45 munites or £34 for 1 hour.

Alex teaches cellists of all ages and abilities. There is no requirement to have any prior knowledge or experience of music or the cello.

Learn at a time convenient for you including daytimes, evenings and weekends. Lessons usually run weekly in term time but other schedules and summer tuition are available.

For those who want to, Alex will guide you through preparing for graded cello examinations.

Alongside lessons, there are opportunities to take part in informal group sessions and performances with other cellists and to participate in the Norfolk County Music Festival.

Cello Hire and Music Available

Cellos of all sizes are available for hire while receiving lessons. Cello hire costs £40 per term.

Any required sheet music and music books can be provided (at additional cost).

Norwich Cello Teacher Alex Hobbs

Alex has over 30 years experience playing the cello in a variety of settings including chamber music, orchestral and solo, playing classical repertoire and contemporary and popular music.

In addition to offering private cello tuition from home, Alex currently teaches cello at Notre Dame Prep School.

She will guide you through choosing and learning the appropriate repertoire as well as helping you bring your technique up to the required standard. She offers tuition for all grades and Diploma.
